3. Laboratory

3.1. Computer room and network

The computer lab of the Department has been invested in many modern equipment by the University and VNU.

- Computer system: including 30 HP apparatus (HP Compaq 8110) with synchronous configuration for specialized subjects and basic subjects of the Faculty of Physics & Engineering Physics

Network system: includes many powerful network devices such as: IBM system X3650 M3 server, 3 CISCO routers, 3 Switch Layer 2 of CISCO, 42U Rack, ...

3.2. Thematic laboratory

The specialized laboratory of the Department at room E306 includes many experimental systems serving the research and teaching of students in Informatics Physics and graduate students in Engineering Physics. The laboratory consists of 5 experimental systems such as: DSP experiment system, microcontroller and embedded experiment system, Sensor and measurement testing system, analog and digital experiment system, robot test system.

3.2.1. DSP experiment system
The equipment:

+ 5 dedicated digital signal processors: TMS320C6713 DSP Starter Kit, communicating with Simulink / Matlab.
+ 2 dedicated digital signal processors: TMS320C6711 DSP Starter Kit, communicating with Simulink / Matlab.
+ Digital oscillation: Agilent DSO 3102A, 2 channel, 100MHz, 1GSa / s.
Digital oscillation: Tektronix TDS 2012B, 2 channel, 100MHz, 1GSa / s.
+ Digital oscillation: Tektronix MSO 4032, 2 channel, 350MHz, 5GSa / s, mixed signal.

       The equipment:

+ EASY 8051 Development Board microcontroller test set: 5 sets
+ PIC Development Board microcontroller experiment set: 5 sets
+ The experimental microcontroller PIC 3 Development Board: 2 sets
+ Experimental set on FPGA KIT DE1 Altera: 10 sets
+ Experimental set on FPGA KIT DE2 Altera: 2 sets
+ Experimental set on FPGA KIT DE3 Altera: 1 set

+ The KL-620 Sensor Trainer Test Kit consists of 16 test modules with different types of sensors.
Multi-function NI ELVIS test set, communicating with LabVIEW.
NI-5105 card, 8 analogue channels

+ 2 NI-6009 USB Card
+ Light intensity meter
+ PH meter in solution
+ Conductivity meter in solution
+ Earth resistance meter
+ LC measuring bridge
+ Types of dedicated sensors: PT-100 thermal sensor, Hall sensor, accelerometer sensor, force sensor, distance sensor, light intensity sensor, humidity sensor, ...
