1.1 Training objectives

- Advanced training at the graduate level of basic science and technology.

- Graduates have strong professional qualifications and knowledge that both enhance and be practical and up to date, in order to provide manpower for the country.

- Students have the ability to continue studying to gain qualifications at higher levels.

1.1.a. Strength of the program

The Master's program in Engineering Physics is the intersection of many interdisciplinary knowledge areas: Physics, Electrical, Computer Science and Mathematics. The program is designed to provide learners with the background of basic science, interdisciplinary science and spearhead science and technology, creative ability, working in an international competitive environment.

1.1.b Students after graduation can undertake the following tasks

- Teaching at universities, colleges, professional secondary schools, ...

- Do researchers in universities, colleges, research institutes.

- Working for technology enterprises, foreign companies in accordance with their trained specialties

- Solving work requiring analytical capacity to handle complex problems in which methods and algorithms are effective in the sciences and technology.

- Working in managerial positions capable of accurately analyzing and identifying the content of the job, well determining the relationship between jobs, the systematic organizational ability.

- Developing hard and soft skills in learning and scientific research.

- Ability to continue studying for a Ph.D. at universities.

1.2 Participants

University graduates wishing to improve their professional qualifications to do scientific and technical work, teaching or doing a doctoral thesis of a specialized doctor can register to enroll in graduate school in Engineering Physics (Physics and Computer Science direction).

1.2.a. The subject does not have to supplement the knowledge

Hold a regular university degree: Physics, Physical Education, Engineering Physics, Information Technology, Informatics, Math, Math - Informatics, Electricity - Electronics, Electronics - Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Materials Technology, Materials Science of domestic and foreign universities.

1.2.b. Subjects must supplement knowledge

Graduates of Industrial System Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Oceanography, Environment, Economics, Business Administration, ... at domestic and foreign universities. These subjects must study the transformation subjects after matriculation (if any subjects studied in the university program are exempted) as follows:

1.2.c. Subjects considered for delivery

Subjects considered for transferring students in accordance with the standards prescribed for Postgraduate Training Regulations of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam National University, HCMC University of  Science.

1.3. Exam subjects

- Basic subject: Math for Physics (according to the exam program for Physics - University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City).

- Fundamentals: Atomic and electronic physics.

- Language (according to the examination program of the University of Science).

Time to organize exam review subjects is according to the general regulations of the University of Science.

1.4. Cirriculum

The training program will be reviewed periodically at least every two years, to update and change to suit the training orientation at domestic and foreign universities. The training program is as follows:

- Before defending a master's thesis, students must be the main author (first in the group of authors) of at least one scientific paper announcing the content or part of the research content of the thesis. Articles must be published or accepted in journals and scientific proceedings, which are counted according to the list prescribed by the State Council of Professor Title.

- The name of the University of Science, the name of VNU-HCM must be written in the student's name in scientific papers, the presentation is as follows:
