In the context of rapid global integration and technological transformation, the demand for highly qualified human resources with strong professional expertise, foreign language proficiency, and adaptability in international environments has become increasingly essential. In response to this development trend, following a process of development, evaluation, and appraisal by the Academic Council, the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, has officially assigned the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics to launch three additional English-enhanced undergraduate programs, including:
• Electronic Physics Technology and Informatics – Program Code: 7440107_DKD
• Medical Physics – Program Code: 7520403_DKD
• Oceanography – Program Code: 7440228_DKD
The expansion of English-enhanced programs marks an important milestone in the innovation and internationalization strategy of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics in particular, and the University of Science in general. These programs are designed with a modern educational orientation, emphasizing the integration of specialized knowledge with English proficiency, research capability, and practical application skills, thereby enhancing students’ competitiveness in both academic and professional international environments.
For the Electronic Physics Technology and Informatics program, the curriculum focuses on training high-quality human resources with in-depth knowledge in electronics, integrated circuits, intelligent systems, semiconductor technology, and modern digital technology applications. This field is currently receiving significant attention within strategies for high-tech and semiconductor industry development.
The Medical Physics program provides interdisciplinary training that combines physics with modern medicine, addressing the increasing demand for high-quality personnel in medical equipment, diagnostic imaging, radiotherapy, and healthcare technology applications.
Meanwhile, the Oceanography program is oriented toward the study and sustainable utilization of marine resources, marine environments, and climate change, contributing to strategies for marine economic development and environmental protection in the future.
